Thanks for the tips! I was at a hobby lobby yesterday and found some Lion Brand Wool Ease that will work... I didn't see Bernat Aspen Soft there... may check Smileys sometime...

Try Aspen Soft by Bernat - it is a wool acrylic blend that washes up nicely and gets very soft. Anther good one is Red Heart with wool - it is mostly discontinued, but you can find it at outlets like http://www.smileysyarns.com/
